We dropped Chris' folks off on Sunday.

And since it was still early in the day, we decided to take a drive around the St. Pete area - to see what we could see.

We stumbled across this interesting area at Boca Ciega Bay(?). I'm not sure if that was the name of it. I'll check.

Anyhow ... we wandered around there for a couple of hours exploring their wooden boardwalk, and the wildlife.

Here's something you'll see A LOT of in Florida ... raised boardwalks. I assume it's so the dangers of poisonous and freaky animals are lessened. But I'm not sure about that yet.
